Executives Optimistic About Business Growth

Author:

Business leaders see a decrease in overall strength of the economy over the next 12 months, but are also optimistic about the increase/growth of their business during that same timeframe.

Almost three-quarters (72%) of senior executives and managers say that the overall strength of the economy will decrease over the next year.

Although business leaders see the economy’s strength decreasing, they are still optimistic about the increase/growth of their own business.

Sixty percent of executives say that when it comes to their own personal level of optimism over the next 12 months about the increase/growth in their business, they are optimistic.

“Business growth is still an issue for the majority of businesses going forward,” says CEO Chuck Martin, author of SMARTS: Are We Hardwired for Success?

Half of senior executives and managers say the biggest issues facing their organizations today are current economic conditions and business growth.

Other major issues facing businesses today are business efficiency (30%), business conditions (29%) and uncertainty (25%).

“Any optimism is based on recognizing that increased effort will have to be applied at this time,” said one survey respondent. “In this day and age global issues impact all of us every minute of every day.”

By organization size, more senior executives and managers in small businesses

(65%) say they are optimistic about the increase/growth of their business over the next 12 months than large businesses with only 40% saying the same.

NFI Research surveys 2,000 senior executives and managers globally every two weeks.
